M Lavanya, a student of standard 12th in Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Thirukattupali in Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, killed herself after she was allegedly tortured by her school authorities for refusing to convert to Christianity. Reportedly, the school had said that she must convert to Christianity if she wishes to continue her studies in the school.
She lost her life instead of her soul.
We need to hang our heads in collective shame because even in India of 2022, Kids are facing the same thing which Son of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sons of Guru Gobind Singh had to face 300-350 years ago.
These kids showed extreme bravery and embraced death over selling their souls but we as India have not moved an inch when it comes to predatory conversions which ransacked entire India from Goa to Punjab to NE to tribal areas of Chattisagarh.
Just recently last month we decided to mark martyrdom of Sahibzaades as Veer Bal Diwas because they had refused to convert in front of evil and opted to die as Martyr.
And then our kids like Lavanya who was a class topper are made to suffer this abomination like conversion which is as evil inhuman practice as slavery.
Everyone in India has full faith in our judiciary that this too will be forgotten crime and the victim will be blamed.

This girl won’t get justice. Everyone has that much faith in Indian law system. Her death might be called as natural death or death due to cold wave or coconut water poisoning.
Just 100 years down the line, some PM might call her day of Martyrdom as Dwitiya Veer Baal Diwas.
We only are good at doing that but we don’t care for justice or fairness.
