Two unidentified bike-borne persons allegedly threw a petrol bomb at the Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters Kamalalayam in the wee hours of Thursday and fled. Fortunately no one was injured in the attack.
BJP member Karate Thyagarajan issued a statement on the incident saying, as quoted by ANI, “A petrol bomb was hurled at our office around 1:30 am. Similar incident took place 15 years ago with DMK’s role in it. We condemn Tamil Nadu govt’s (role) for this incident…We have also informed Police…BJP cadre doesn’t get afraid of such things.”
Based on a complaint from BJP and CCTV footages, the Chennai city police have detained 38-year-old Vinoth from Nandanam in connection with the case. According to police sources, Kaduka Vinoth, is a history-sheeter who is known for hurling petrol bombs after taking money. During questioning, the accused stated that he hurled petrol bombs as he was upset over BJP supporting the NEET Bill. He had hurled petrol bombs at a state-run TASMAC liquor shop in 2015 and also at the Teynampet police station in 2017 and faces four attempt-to-murder cases.
The TN police have a standard statement whenever BJP, RSS, Hindu Munnani, or Temples were attacked desecrated. They would arrest someone saying ” he is a mentally challenged, in an inebriated condition” etc. In this case also, the police said their initial investigations indicated that Vinoth had no religious or political motive and was drunk when he committed the crime.
The ruling DMK can’t digest the growing support for the saffron party. BJP’s support for Lavanya case that reached now CBI for probe and its pro- NEET stand , Annamalai’s interaction with press have enraged the DMK and its allies. DMK , more particularly, has been upset with the Governor’s returning the NEET bill and reasons he had made.
Only recently, self-proclaimed journalist, Savukku Shankar, who was allegedly dismissed/suspended from police department, in an interview to Red pix you-tube channel run by Felix Gerald, he provokes DMK and its allies.
He had recommended “ Gheroa the TN Governor, protest in front of Rajbhavan, block his cars at Otty hill station ghat roads (follow the Punjab model where PM was stranded) and wherever he goes. Protest two sides of the street where BJP headquarters is located and give them sleepless nights”. Someone taking a leaf out of this, could have attacked the BJP office. This yellow journalist Savukku Sankar should be arrested for Sedition and booked under Goondas Act.
The you tube channel , funded by Christian missionaries, through Sankar , has been making derogatory and defamatory comments in the name of journalism against PM, HM, RSS leaders and Brahmins. It is alleged fugitive Jagat Gaspar and a first family member of disgruntled DMK, who is a sitting MP, are supporting the you- tube channel.
“ The demolition of Hindu temples, targeted arrests of opponents, critics , booking them in goondas act, threatening and attacking opposition parties, deterioration of law and order, assaults women, robberies and other crimes , taking law into their hands are all order of the day whenever DMK comes to power” said a BJP supporter Murali.
In September 24, 2007, when the DMK was in power, a number of DMK workers stoned Kamalayalam to condemn a statement of VHP leader that he would give a gold reward to anyone who cut off Karunanidhi’s head and tongue.
