New Delhi:
“Art and literature are the easiest way to understand any culture. This is a fact that no society can ensure progress disconnecting from its culture,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while addressing a group of artists at a three-day Kala Yatra Mahotsava organised at the Kamani Auditorium on May 1. “Only those who are closely connected with their roots touch new heights of progress, while those who are disconnected from their roots are washed away. Therefore, we must not be disconnected from our roots in any circumstances. Naturally, there may temporarily be problems at some steps, but if we are determined the victory is certain,” the Sarsanghachalak added.
Noted dancer Sonal Mansingh said music has special significance in the art. She appealed to the parents to associate their children with the traditional music and dance. Kala Yatra Mahotsava was organised to commemorate 40 years of the Centre for India Classical Dances, an organisation formed by Sonal Mansingh. A souvenir was also released on the occasion.
