Journalists union chief arrested for publishing false news and harbouring journalists, officials said.
The head of Egypt”s press syndicate and two board members have been arrested and charged with “publishing false news”.
The three leaders are facing charges of harbouring journalists Mahmoud El-Sakka and Amr Badr, who work for the 25 January opposition news site, officials added.

Suzuki’s Gujarat plant will begin operations from next year
Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor Corp said its wholly owned car plant in Gujarat, will begin operations from next year.
In the first phase the Gujarat factory will have a capacity to make 2,50,000 Vehicles annually. Suzuki’s Car production in India will reach 2 milliion units by 2022 from the 1.4 million at present.

Women more addicted to smartphones than men: Study
The study, conducted in South Korea, noted that 52 percent of the women in the survey used their smartphones for four hours a day or longer — far higher than the comparable ratio of 29.4 percent among men, Korea Times reported.
The ratios of respondents who use smartphones for six hours a day were also 22.9 percent for women and 10.8 percent for men.
Opposition leader sentenced to 9 years in jail
A Bahraini appeals court ramped up Shiite opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman’s jail sentence on charges of inciting violence to nine years from the original four, a judicial sources said.
