Nuclear bomb making has undergone many changes. US has declassified both the Gas diffusion and calutron technology . So technically you can enrich Uranium if you can lay hands on it using EMIS taking out 235 from U238 , like the Manhattan project. You may not need Oppenheimer, Lawrence, Fermi and Feynman. US declassification may even have a DIY kit Real clowns !
Pakistan certainly made N-bombs with the help of China and North Korea.
But I was wondering at the Kirana hills facility that almost resembles the Imaginary Iraqi n-bomb launch facility Forsyth described in his book, “Fist of God” .
- Kirana hills facility is within a large military security zone of Sargoda military camp. Same as one described by FF.
- It is surrounded by non-descript villages and hillocks to hide coolers, turrets , launch holes if any.
Further it is close to Kushhab nuclear facility for replenishment. Their easiest major target would have been Amritsar that is approx 200 kms as the crow flies from Kirana hills. A hit on Amritsar Golden temple opens up many possibilities to raise false-flag, instigate Hindu Sikh riot, Sikh- Muslim riot etc using global and Indian press.
But I really doubt they had a huge cache of nukes. Probably very minimal ……after the major ones taken by MBS/ KSA who has understood that regional safety can be preserved only by stopping the military monkeys of Pakistan from accessing nukes. India certainly must have learnt the Pak’s nuclear bluff from KSA.
So there is certainly an accident but it can’t be major as Pakistan does not have a huge stock of nuclear weapons.
