Speaking about the foundation’s journey, Trustee Kizhambur S. Sankarasubramanian highlighted several key initiatives undertaken over the years. These include the documentation of over 50 rare literary works, such as Thirukkural Moolapaadam, and the organization of significant conferences on themes like Aadhi Sankara’s Shanmadham, Murugan Bhakthi Literature, and Shri Rama’s Bhakthi Literature. The foundation has also hosted marathon talks on Thirukkural, conducted in Chennai, Trichy, and Alwarkuruchi, each lasting seven hours and attracting wide participation from academia, students, and the general public.
The Thejas Foundation has been instrumental in organizing large-scale Vel Poojas, and Ganga Poojas, and even distributed the National Flag during India’s 75th Independence Anniversary, honoring lesser-known freedom fighters’ families.
“As we step into the Tenth year of Thejas Foundation, we plan to effectively celebrate the same in a befitting manner on Sunday, the 15th of December 2024.
Even though you are already aware about the existence of Thejas Foundation, I still wish to express a few thoughts for your consumption. One of the prime activities of Thejas Foundation, which has been handled all along by the Founder Trustee Shri. PT Thiruvenkata Rajan; had been to highlight the Literary works in Tamil and Sanskrit languages.
We have so far documented some of the rare works numbering to over fifty including Thirukkural Moolapaadam. Till date; we have organized three Conferences in Chennai on Aadhi Sankara’s Shanmadharm, Murugan Bhakthi Literature, Shri Rama’s Bhakthi Literature for which we had good response from the people who attended it in a large scale. We have also organized three Marathon talks on Thirukkural spanning to about seven hours continuously in a calendar day and that too on three occasions and in three different locations as well.
One was done in Chennai in the presence of Hon’ble Judges, Industrialists, Writers and Poets besides general Public. Another was in the National College, Trichy in front of the Academia and the Student Fraternity. The Third one was for the Children in Sri Parama Kalyani High School in Alwarkuruchi.
All the aforesaid activities were performed by me in my individual capacity based on the research done spanning over fifteen years. That apart, we have performed Vel Poojai in a large scale besides Ganga Pooja, which culminated in the distribution of Ganga Water to the Devotees,
In a similar fashion, as part of the celebration of the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of India’s Freedom we distributed the National Flag to a multitude of Citizens; including many VIPs, besides honouring a host of family members belonging to the lessor known Freedom Fighters. And apart, now with an intention to impact Climate Change and enhance Agricultural Produce, aside augmenting Loga Kshemam, we intend to organize a Vedhic oriented event, involving the Recital of Gana Parayanam and Jata Parayanam by a set of Vedhic Pundits, along with a Special Ganapathi Poojai following the Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations the previous day.
Apart from we inviting yourself for this function much before hand, we also utilize this opportunity to seek liberal donation from your side, and this happens to be the first time that Thejas Foundation is going in for a Fund mobliation initiaviate in order to motivate ourselves to take up a few more such operations in the days to come. ” said Thejas Foundation Trustee, (Kizhambur S Sankarasubramanian.
